Part 1 of 3: How to Clean Your Kitchen | Surfaces and Appliances

Welcome to the first part of our three-part series on how to clean your kitchen! At Two Pillars, we believe in keeping your kitchen not only clean but also eco-friendly. That's why we've created products like the Duo CoverĀ® and ZipBagĀ® to help you reduce waste and make cleaning up easier. So let's get started with part one: cleaning surfaces and appliances.

First things first, let's talk about what you'll need to get the job done. A good all-purpose cleaner, microfiber cloths, a sponge, and a Swedish Dishcloth will do the trick. And don't forget to wear gloves to protect your hands!

To start, clear off your countertops and wipe them down with your all-purpose cleaner. For tough stains or stuck-on food, use the rough side of your sponge or a specialized cleaner for your countertop material. And if you have any stainless steel appliances, be sure to use a cleaner specifically made for stainless steel to avoid any damage.

Next up, let's talk about the stove. Whether you have a gas or electric stove, it's important to keep it clean to prevent any buildup of food or grease that can become a fire hazard. Start by removing the grates or burner covers and soaking them in warm, soapy water. While they soak, use your all-purpose cleaner and sponge to wipe down the stovetop. For stubborn stains, a specialized stove cleaner may be necessary.

Now, let's move on to the microwave. If you have a Duo CoverĀ®, cleaning the microwave just got a whole lot easier. The MoistureLockā„¢ technology not only helps with reheating your food, but it also keeps your microwave clean by preventing splatters. Simply wipe down the Duo CoverĀ® with a microfiber cloth and your microwave is good to go! And if you don't have a Duo CoverĀ®, be sure to wipe down the inside of your microwave with a damp cloth and a little bit of dish soap to remove any buildup.

Last but not least, let's talk about the fridge. Start by taking everything out and tossing any expired or spoiled food. Then, wipe down the shelves and drawers with your all-purpose cleaner and a microfiber cloth. For tough stains or stuck-on food, use your sponge and a little bit of elbow grease. And if you have any ZipBagsĀ®, they're great for storing fresh produce or leftovers in the fridge!

Thanks for joining us for part one of our three-part series. Stay tuned for part two, where we'll be discussing how to clean your kitchen floors and walls.
