Part 2 of 3: How to Make Your Own Bread | Baking Techniques and Tips

Welcome back to our bread-making adventure with Two Pillars! Now that we've covered the basics in Part 1, it's time to get into some baking techniques and tips.

First things first, let's talk about rising. You want your dough to rise properly, so make sure you have a warm and draft-free area for it to rest. But, if you're like me and your house is always a little chilly, try using the Duo Cover® to keep the moisture in and the heat consistent. Its MoistureLock™ technology ensures that your dough will rise perfectly every time.

Once your dough has risen, it's time to shape it. Use your hands or a dough scraper to fold the dough over itself and create tension on the surface. This will help your bread hold its shape and rise evenly in the oven. But, if you're having trouble with the dough sticking to your hands or surface, try using the Swedish Dishcloth to clean up the mess. It's a perfect, all-natural substitute for paper towels and cleaning cloths.

Now, it's time to bake. If you're making a crusty bread, you want to create steam in the oven to help form a crispy crust. You can achieve this by placing a pan of water in the bottom of the oven or by using the Duo Cover® as a silicone microwave splatter guard mat to trap the steam and create a perfect baking environment.

And, once your bread is out of the oven and ready to cool, try using the UniLid® as a universal lid that fits all shapes and sizes with food tracking. It's the perfect, eco-friendly replacement for plastic wrap and will help keep your bread fresh and delicious for longer.

Now that you've mastered the basics and some baking techniques, stay tuned for Part 3 where we'll cover creative ways to use leftovers. And, don't forget to check out Two Pillars' ZipBag® for all your storage needs, whether it's for your leftover bread or for meal prep. This reusable silicone storage bag is perfect for keeping your favorite snacks crisp, storing fresh produce or leftovers, bringing food on the go or cooking sous vide! It's a plastic-free seal that you can feel good about.

Until next time, happy baking! And remember, bread is the best gift for any occasion, whether it's a birthday, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, or just because. Your daughter or son will love it!
