Part 2 of 3: How to Make Meal Prep Easier | Time-Saving Strategies

Welcome back to our series on meal prep! Last time, we talked about essential tools and containers to make meal prep a breeze, and today we're going to dive into some time-saving strategies to make the process even easier.

Let's face it, we're all busy, and the last thing we want to do after a long day is spend hours in the kitchen prepping meals. Luckily, with a little planning and the right tools, meal prep can actually save you time in the long run. Here are some tips:

1: Plan your meals ahead of time

This may seem obvious, but taking the time to plan out what you're going to eat for the week can save you a lot of time and stress. Sit down once a week and plan out your meals, then make a grocery list based on those meals. This will save you from having to make multiple trips to the grocery store and from the "what should we have for dinner tonight?" dilemma.

2: Use your freezer

Your freezer can be your best friend when it comes to meal prep. Make extra portions of meals and freeze them for later in the week. You can also freeze ingredients like chopped veggies or cooked rice to save time later.

3: Use time-saving tools

Remember those essential tools we talked about last time? They're going to come in handy here. Use your Duo CoverĀ® to quickly warm up leftovers in the microwave, and your ZipBagĀ® to store snacks or meals on the go. The UniLidĀ® is also a great tool for covering leftovers and keeping track of what's in your fridge.

4: Prep in bulk

If you're going to take the time to chop veggies or cook rice, you might as well do it in bulk. That way, you'll have ingredients ready to go when you need them. Use your Swedish Dishcloth to wipe down your cutting board in between uses to save time on washing dishes.

5: Cook smart

Make meals that can be used in multiple ways throughout the week. For example, roast a chicken on Sunday and use the leftovers in salads, sandwiches, or stir-fries throughout the week.

By following these time-saving strategies and using the right tools, you can make meal prep a breeze. Stay tuned for our next and final post in the series, where we'll be sharing some delicious meal prep recipes and ideas.
