Part 2 of 3: How to Make Your Own Pasta | Sauce Selection and Cooking Tips

Welcome back to the second and third parts of our pasta-making adventure with Two Pillars! In case you missed it, check out Part 1 for tips on dough preparation and cutting techniques. Now, let's dive into the sauce selection and cooking tips!

Part 2: Sauce Selection and Cooking Tipsithout the other! Here are some sauce ideas to get your taste buds tingling:

1: Classic tomato sauce

A timeless and simple choice. Cook down tomatoes, garlic, onions, and herbs to create a rich and flavorful sauce.

2: Pesto sauce

A delicious and fresh option. Blend basil, garlic, pine nuts, parmesan cheese, and olive oil for a vibrant green sauce that packs a punch.

3: Alfredo sauce

A creamy and indulgent treat. Melt butter, heavy cream, and parmesan cheese together for a luxurious and decadent sauce.

4: Bolognese sauce

A hearty and meaty sauce. Brown ground beef or pork with onions, carrots, celery, tomatoes, and herbs for a rich and filling sauce.

Once you've chosen your sauce, it's time to cook your pasta. Remember to salt your pasta water generously, and don't overcook your pasta - it should still have a bit of bite to it. Reserve some pasta water to add to your sauce if it's too thick, and never rinse your pasta after cooking - this will wash away all the delicious starches that help the sauce cling to the pasta.
